Mack Williams, 32, was charged with murder and weapons offenses, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said in a press release Tuesday, Oct. 25.

Authorities arrested him on Monday in Trenton.

Detectives identified Williams, of Trenton, as the gunman in the homicide of Daquan Brown, who was found lying on the ground at Kersey Alley with a bullet wound to the shoulder around 3:10 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 9.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead shortly after.

The prosecutor’s office will seek to detain Williams pending trial.
